These boots are great. They are comfortable all day and absorb shocks well and not too heavy either considering these boots have steel lined soles and toe caps. They grip great, impervious to the cold or heat and the finishing is of a high standard. If you need boots for work, doing DIY stuff, cruising on your bike or simply need great boots then these will do the job at a fraction of the cost of many competitors.

This is my second pair, I had purchased a pair of these boots before not expecting great things at this price. Well I was very wrong, these boots are fantastic for the price, I work for a builders merchants as a HIAB delivery driver and have found these to be light, strong and yes I have tested their saftey toe at first hand. Unfortunatly I managed to have a 6 foot RSJ fall on me foot from waist height well my toe cap took the whole brunt I did have a fractured toe and it was brused but if I hadent had them on I would have lost the end 2 inches of me foot so yep these boots get my thumbs up. I had them for 9 months wore them all through the winter 9 1/2 hrs a day 5 days a week and thay finaly had to be retired as the sole safty plate on my clutch foot finaly snapped and I couldent take the clicking any more. My advice is these babys are well worth the money and you wont be disapointed Oh make sure you run some polish over them at the weekend and thay will be fully waterproof for the life of the boot +++++++++

My old work shoes had finally fallen apart so I needed a pair of tough boots for gardening and occasional DIY. I chose these boots as being honest straight-forward footwear, no fancy eyelets or other tweaks. They were also significantly cheaper on Amazon than on another well-known bulding supplies outlet.

The boots are substantial, lacing up over the ankle, and not too heavy. They are a little stiff, but will loosen up - I assume - with use and perhaps some leather treatment. They are marked Extra-Wide, and surprisingly are. I take a size nine, and these boots are roomy to the point of needing another pair of socks. They are comfortable to the point of being un-noticable in use.

I hope I don't need the toe and sole protection, but it's good to know they're there. It's difficult to get excited about gardening boots, but these are a good solid buy at a good price. I hope they last as long as my old shoes!

I've worn these now for about ten days. First day I found the back heel support on one boot was cutting into my ankle. On the advice of an earlier post, I took the hammer to it. Now, there's no problem. I've worn them whilst felling trees and cutting logs; doing heavy work in the garden and in the workshop. Very comfortable and also surprisingly light given their looks. Good ankle and tongue padding; plus, removable insole. Sad about the need for some pre-care.

I have been wearing these boots for about a month now, they are well made and comfortable. They could do with an insole [ i fitted my own] which is why they don't get five stars. For the price these boot are high up on my list, as so far they have worn well and i think they will last a fair amount of time. I would buy another pair.

I had to stop wearing mine after a couple of shifts because above my ankles were red raw from rubbing against the top of the boots. These were about 2 inches higher than my last working boots. One thing about them is that they look a very well made boot.I shall try taking the hammer to them this week to see if I can soften them somewhat.
