InCarCables 1.2m Aux-In Cable, With Silver Metallic Stepped Connector
This cable connects your iPod, iPhone, mp3 player or smartphone to your car (or home) stereo via the aux input socket. This allows you to listen to your music from the iPod through your car's stereo system with excellent sound quality. The cables also allow you to connect music players or laptops to speakers or your home stereo! For compatibility see below.
This metallic silver slimline cable with a stepped connector is designed to locate firmly in all iPod, iPhone, smartphone and mp3 player models, even with cases fitted (see above pictures, click to enlarge).

Features
The cables have a durable metallic silver connector, with grey cabling.
The have 24k gold plated 3.5mm plugs and a low loss wire core to ensure great sound quality that lasts. All cables are made without the use of hazardous substances and are RoHS compliant.
Compatibility
The cables are compatible with car or home stereos which have a 3.5mm aux input fitted (see pictured input above). Many cars now have these inputs fitted as standard - they look like headphone sockets and are normally located in the stereo unit, glove box, armrest or centre console. If you are not sure about compatibility just send us a message through Amazon.
Our cable is compatible with ALL iPods, ALL iPhones and any mp3 player or smartphone with a normal headphone socket! It will even work when cases are fitted, including the iPhone 4 bumper or when dock cables are connected simultaneously (see above pictures)

This is a very high quality cable/plugs, very like the Apple cables in that it's coated with a softer plastic, doesn't stay in the folded-up accordian-like shape when you use it.
The biggest plus though is the shape of the plugs, with a narrower central area which allows them to remain securely fitted even with some not-so-well-tailored cases.
I use it for an iPhone4 inside a Mophie Juice Plus case where the socket is quite deeply recessed, and also for an iPod Classic with a thick leather cover which doesn't quite leave enough room for some of the usual thick plastic on audio plugs. The consequence of this is the more common plugs often don't stay fully in the socket & one of the stereo channels becomes silent.
This brand of cables may be slightly more expensive, but with no postage this actually worked out no more expensive than the cheaper brand I bought earlier.....which isn't as good as this.
