fascinating reading,

It is fascinating to learn the history behind the man.I have always been aware of the strong steak of cynicism running through Sondheim's work,now I know why, with such a mixed up childhood is it any wonder.Nevertheless it has made him into the genius composer that he is today.Undoubtedly the finest writer of musical theatre of this age or,any other, with a depth of feeling that others can only aspire to. This book is quite an eye-opener.
