I was expecting a bit more, but the item is nothing but a calendar and has extraordinarily little to do with knitting. Perfect for those who can't remember what day it is, not interesting for those of us wanting to knit...

This calendar has witty, informative quotes for everyday of the year. Guaranteed to have you hooked from the start. I had trouble saving each day's quote just for that specific day. Definitely for any knitter in the family!

After reading the first two (both one-star) reviews for this product, I feel I have to speak up.
The box of the calendar says "365 Days of Wit and Wisdom". It does not say "365 Days of Knitting Patterns". In fact, if one is at all familiar with Pearl-McPhee's previous titles, one would know that she writes about knitting, she does not publish knitting patterns as such.
As a knitter, I have been thrilled with this calendar, with its daily reflections on not only knitting itself but on what it is to be a knitter and to work slowly and patiently in this world of instant gratification.
Indeed, I have had several of the pattern-a-day type knitting calendars before and truth be told, I have yet to make any of the multitudes of useless patterns provided. It is only January 14, but I have already enjoyed this calendar much more.

it has no knitting patterns just words of wisdom and does not relate to title - more description is needed when advertising a product

I enjoyed this tear-off page-a-day calendar in 2009 and I am sure I will enjoy it as much in 2010. It is comforting to know that I am not the only knit-aholic on the planet nor the only one with too much yarn and too many projects being knitted at the same time. I especially love the days when the saying starts with "You know you knit too much when......"

This is a great page a day calendar. I purchase this one last year and had to have another one this year. It's witty, full of great tips for knitters and sayings. I look forward to tearing of the page each day to see what pearls of wisdom Stephanie has for that day. Well worth the money and I hope there will be a new one 2011! If you havn't got a calendar yet and your a knitter invest in one of these, you will not be disappointed.

Every morning I look forward to tearing off the new day's page when I get to work. Somehow it feels that my knitting life is intruding (in a nice way!)into my work life. The days thoughts are always interesting - I wasn't expecting patterns, just the little pearls of wisdom that Yarn Harlot drops and I haven't been disappointed.
