Purchased to operate my Heavy Duty Kitchenaid shipped back here from the States, and it works just perfectly. Oh my, did that take the hard work out of all the pre Christmas baking! I'm delighted with this item, delivered next day, and I've had no operating problems.

This transformer arrived well before estimated time and it works great
the transformer gets a bit warm but that is normal
I use it for my newly purchase stereo system from USA 70 Watt
As i am a Marin Electrical Engineer I do recommend it for low currency items
as Radios Stereo systems etcetera
But do not use this item for Hair dryers & Electrical tools etcetera
As they pull a high starting currency regardless what it says on the Label

I bought this for my embroidery machine (which is an American machine). I had been worried about getting one with the correct watts, voltage etc, but this one is fine.
It doesn't make any noise and doesn't get hot. It is quite heavy, but then I think all the step downs are. It was much cheaper than the alternative at Maplins, for example and arrived quite quickly.

simple transformer

saved us with our USA equipment

Avoid this.
Bought new; used 8 times at 4minutes a throw and then died nforever. Article trashed (which is pretty appropriate). Made in China of course but there again what isn't?
