Uninspiring 12 Mar 2011
Format:Hardcover
This book is truly awful. I've been hunting around for an inspiring book to try out some updated decoupage ideas and can't find any with a trendy, modern twist. This looked OK from the cover and the previous review but I have to say that I was completely discappointed. It looks like a book you'd find very cheap in a bargain bin, the ideas and photos are very dated, relics from the 80s, overly simple, with little to no explanation and many of the ideas are tasteless for 2011. Some ideas for example involve sticking gold stars on empty bottles, or sticking tissue paper on an old shoe box. I've looked through this several times trying to find some redeeming idea, or some inspiration I could use as a starting point to translate into something more modern, but can't find a thing. If you see it for 50p in a bargain bin, have a look through it but otherwise don't bother!

Decoupage book 29 Mar 2011
Format:Hardcover
Bought this book as I was thinking of doing this hobby. Found it informative and easy to follow. I must confess though I still haven't tried it - still trying to find the right time - but this book is a great way to learn more about the craft.
