This book is an excellent compilation of classic 1960s science fiction stories from Analog -the sine qua non of American Science Fiction magazines for over 60 years, the only surviving magazine from the dawn of science fiction helmed by its legendary editor John W Campbell, the man who made Isaac Asimov (as well as many other seminal SF authors) who he (they)is (are)today. This book is a British re-issue of three volumes printed separately in the USA. The 1960s were the period when SF moved from the fringe into mainstream literature. The authors in this book are the ones who made this change possible. The book includes stories by Roger Zelazny, Jorge Luis Borges, RA Lafferty, Thomas M Disch, JG Ballard, Avram Davidson and others.
