I have tried a lot of blues books and this is one of my favorites. It starts off easy but still gets you playing along to songs right away, the other good thing about this book is that the songs you learn are real blues songs like St louis blues and crossroad blues not the usual 12 bar in every key. A beginner should only buy a book like this if it comes with a cd which this one does as you need to hear how it should sound. It has chapters on country blues, jazz blues, the last four pages have tables of blues scales and blues chords, a great book my only negative is that at 35 pages it could be bigger but still better than most.
