I bought this DVD as I had been searching for a step workout that was challenging and motivating and this one certainly fits the bill. I had previously bought a Kathy Smith step DVD as well as the Gilad one and found them acceptable but rather dated. This one has good music and is motivating. This is "tap free" stepping, so no "up tap, down tap" routines, and that does make it a bit faster paced. I have stepped quite a lot but found I had to do the DVD a few times before the routine clicked into place. Having mastered it I must say, you get a very good workout and there are easier options, so you can simplify if needed. I liked the option on the menu to customise the workout, so you can do a quick version or the longer one with all combos repeated. If you like step and have the patience to learn the routine, you will enjoy it.

Well! I am a fit person who has just started doing step classes and thought I would buy a step and a DVD for working out at home when I couldn't get to class.

I thought I would do the proper thing and do the warm up first, but you have to have a degree in step just to do the warm up! There was no tutorial beforehand, just straight into expressions like "do the mambo 2 times" etc! You also need to have a very large front room and eyes in the back of your head for when she leaps off one side, does a turn around and leaps back on the step for a reverse go (yes, it is as confusing as it sounds).

I am sure this is an excellent dvd for the die hard steppers, but absolutely no good for a beginner. I gave up after 10 minutes of looking like I was dancing the funky chicken (which my husband caught on film - great, thanks for that) and went back to good old Davina. Minus step.

Great dvd, I'm so glad I chose this particular product after hours of trawling Amazon and reading loads of reviews. Yes, I agree, it is challenging but it needs to be to keep you interested and keep you coming back. I find it is a super alternative if I can't make it to a gym class when I'm too late home from work or early on a Sunday morning when everyone else is still in bed!
Not for beginners but not too dancey or spinny either. If your lounge floor space is limited, like mine, then it is possible to follow most moves, you just have to reduce how far you move away from your step. I have a low ceiling light too, so sometimes my arm movements have to be a bit more restrained!
It took me about 3 sessions to be able to follow all the moves and take part fully in the routines and I am not a pro by any standards. Now, I can really throw myself into it and burn loads of calories.
I would definitely consider buying another product by this presenter

The reason why I bought this DVD was that I had gone to my fitness centre taken a step class and came back thinking "it would have been nice to have got a few steps right." I used to do step and was advanced, but I am of the 'old school'. I have not done step for 12 years and after going to a class at the fitness centre for the first time in 12 years it was a shock. Step is completly different, different names for steps, more dance etc, . Hence the purchase. What I think about the DVD?
1) The instructor moves very quickly and there is not much time to pratice the step before she moves on to complete the combination
2) The steps she does; require you to go around the step very early on the DVD- then you have your back to the screen (not helpful)
3) If you have done step before you will be able to recover from being on the wrong foot quickly. I would feel a beginner would struggle.
What I was looking for was a DVD which showed all the steps individually and told you the name of each one, then create a combination. If you are looking for this, This is not the DVD for you- she goes straight into combinations and routines.

In saying all this I am picking up the routines. (After much pausing and rewinding) and because of the routines being interesting the DVD will probably have more life and you will not get bored quickly, (hope not anyway.) As for the reason I bought it- I think eventually I'll pick it up and be brave enough to go to the class and prove to the instructor I can do it!! so in theory after some hard work and brain thought -it will have done the job I was looking for.

I recently bought this `All out Infused Step' DVD..and OMG it is amazing! I left a gym 2 years ago as I moved house and needed to reassess outgoings, I was doing step 2/3 times a week more or less for 8 years and it was a killer, even when my fitness levels were pretty high. So, I decided recently, although I can't afford a gym membership yet, I'd research into a DVD.

I used to tell my step instructor, Joy, to create her own DVD as I didn't believe I'd ever find another instructor with so much energy and motivation!!!

If you're not a beginner and want to work hard, buy it!
