Product Description

Synopsis

Containing all the necessary wedding planning information, this text is designed to be used as a workbook. It is produced using the Hextrabind method of binding which ensures it lies flat when open, and combines tick boxes in the action plans and the checklist section to make it easy to use. Topics include engagement, wedding expenses, wedding rings, photography, flowers and invitations and guest list, and there are also sections on the appropriate clothes for bridesmaids, pageboys and the bride.

From the Author

Lynda Wright (Lynda @checkmark-books.co.uk)

When I planned my own wedding, I made lots of notes and lists with tick boxes and space to write in as the plans proceeded. Over a period of time I copied the notes for friends who were getting married and one friend in particular urged me to develop them further and write a book. I wrote the information in a workbook style because it is the type of book I would like to have been able to use to plan my own wedding and I felt sure it would appeal to others. Planning a wedding can be a daunting prospect, but it has been my aim to cover all the decisions and steps that have to be taken along the way to ensure its success. I hope you find the book useful and recommend it to your friends. If you would like to e-mail me with your comments, I would be very pleased to hear from you. In the meantime, have lots of fun planning your wedding and very best wishes for your future happiness.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very practical guide, 13 Feb 2006

This review is from: The Step by Step Guide to Planning Your Wedding (Paperback)
This book contained virtually everything I had to do to organise my wedding. The level of detail gave me great confidence that I could rely on it completely. Meticulous cross-referencing all the detailed information in the 'to do' lists was really helpful. The book isn't a guide to wedding etiquette, I already had one of these, which I used with the guide to understand and plan a great wedding.

4.0 out of 5 stars An original inter-active approach; excellent checklists., 11 Nov 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Step by Step Guide to Planning Your Wedding (Paperback)
This is different from most books on planning weddings. It makes liberal use of checklists. For instance, these cover not just such obvious matters as the engagement announcement and the catering, but also easily-overlooked points, such as videos, stag party and marquees! The author pays meticulous attention to detail. She reminds the reader to ascertain the church's policy on confetti, assuming,of course, that a church is being used. She also points out the possible need for umbrellas to be provided! If the bride and/or groom has a copy of this book and pays attention to the advice, it is hard to see how the wedding can go wrong!

What can I say except "marvellous"? This book covers everything that you need to know on planning a wedding.
I was really impressed, the way the book was sectioned, the tick boxes, the different kind of ceremonies that it covered, a budget section, the list is endless and it also fits in your handbag just right.
I can honestly say that with this book I will be very organised and should not forget anything important when planning for my Big Day!
A must have for every bride to be!
