I have been a dancer since my teens(now almost 80)but never a particularly good one partly because 'earning my corn' squandered much of my leisure time. Over the years I have been to a few teaching classes each with their own style and variations mainly to restore my knowledge but the differences served only to confuse. This set of CDs has helped considerably at refreshing my memory and has enabled my wife and self to dance like 'poetry in motion'! We are now a member of a dance club and take whatever opportunity to dance wherever we go. Dancing is not only good exercise but allows one to continue courting one's partner when gliding across the floor, relaxed, and to the rhythm of the music. Those CDs have been a great help as they can be studied in detail. Often one sees others dancing but mostly they are like wooden-tops; those CDs introduce a little panache so give style and reassurance to one's performance.

If you already can dance British style Waltz, Tango etc and are going to dance in America or even going to take a cruise on an American cruise ship this teaching course will help you adjust to the American Smooth style. It can be quite a shock to see that American dancing does not always travel anticlockwise round the floor.
On the other hand if you are wanting to learn British style dancing then this is not the DVD for you.

I listened to part of this before I gave it to a couple who are really into learning ballroom dancing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and they have told me it is 'fabulous' and such a help to them and is a clear and enjoyable way of learning this art.
