Hi, I'm Claire Richards from Steps. Last year I looked in the mirror and at 15 stones I didn't recognise myself, it was a far cry from my days in Steps when I was a size 10. Like most women, changes in my life led to me putting weight on and before I knew it I looked like another person in a fat suit, and I knew things had to change. So I made that change!

  • Engage Your Body Warm Up: A motivating and all round routine that preparese the body for the combat techniques ahead. This includes stretches and simple choreography to get you in the 'zone'.

I bought this dvd as Claire's larger size was similar to my own and I thought the results on Claire looked terrific. I didn't want inspiration from a skinny-minny at that point! Watch through the dvd first to get a taste of what's to come. Once you've warmed-up and good-to-go you can pick 'n mix your routines which make the workouts less strict time-wise - just fit to your own timescale. Claire also includes adjustments to some of the moves, so if you find it difficult to do the full arm press-ups, you can include 'half' arm press-ups and still get results (no excuses!). The soundtrack is super cheesy but it gets you moving and that's the point: it's good fun! In the beginning I used this dvd three mornings a week. The end of the first week left me aching but if you don't ache you ain't moving fast enough! With a healthier eating plan and following Claire's moves, I have shifted 3 stone. I still use the dvd every Saturday morning combined with other exercises during the week. We all know that healthier eating and exercising will get us fitter, healthier and feeling good about ourselves and I think Claire has shown that it can be achingly good fun, too. I highly recommend this dvd to anyone who is self-conscious about working out in public and to those who want a bit of fun with their pain! Thank you, Claire!

Enjoyed doing this workout along with claire, easy to follow and music is good. it wasnt too full on or patronising in any way,I found her very lovely as she obviously has had weight issues in the past and not always been stick thin like some of these ladies in some dvds you can buy at the moment.

As the title says I find this work out great! It takes time to pick up all the moves but it's fun learning them !
It's got great music (if you like steps) and a good coach, though Claire doesn't say much and you feel like you're watching just the coach it's still worth the money. Unfortunately for me I've got to stop the workout now (pregnant) and I'll definitely miss it!!!

This dvd is excellent for all steps fans!! It has all the fav steps tunes and is good fun to work out to. Although it is difficult to complete each section of the workout if your abit out of shape for the first few weeks, it does get easier. When you are first starting out u can follow claires routine as its slightly easier, then as the weeks progress you can follow the guys routine and it is abit more challenging. All in all its a pretty good workout, the guys voice gets a little annoying though after few days lol..

Being new to exercise dvds I wasn't sure which one to try. I picked this one as I enjoyed steps music. I have had a great laugh prancing around in my front room to this video. It's good fun and for a novice like me it's not to serious. I like the way that claire Richards isn't stick thin and while it's obvious she has had a lot of practice doing these routines she still looks just as awkward and uncomfortable as I do doing them. Have never had so much fun sweating!

This is a good work out but not my fave DVD, didnt find anything wrong with it though just not for me. The songs can get abit annoyeing if your doing the DVD everyday and you end up waking up humming steps songs! It is hard work yet not so much that you cant carry on and you feel the work out the next days without feeling so horrible you cant get out of bed! I like that claire occasionally shows you a different work out for those who find what the men are doing slightly difficult for example claire will do sit ups rather than a push up as some woman find it harder to do pushups like the men are asking, I certainly did! Over all it is a good work out and I will continue to use the dvd.
