I spent quite a while looking at various toy kitchens for my daughter. Having previously bought a cheap, flimsy model, I wanted something that would last her for several years this time.
I think I picked well. The postage cost was much less for the item than I thought it would be, and it arrived well packaged. It was easy to assemble once I found a drill - I found it difficult using just a screwdriver, because the screws have to pierce through the plastic. It took under an hour to assemble, the instructions are clear.
The most important thing is that it's very sturdily built and durable. My daughter loves it, and I would definitely recommend the item to others.

this is a fab compact kichen although its quite tall. the sounds are good but the phone is a bit disapointing,which i think must of been changed because my friend brought this kichen before me and the phone was very real looking and alot bigger. very sterdy would last awhile

I bought this for my daughter's second birthday and she still loves it now that she is 4. Her baby brother enjoyed playing with it as soon as he could stand! It is very, very sturdy and pretty realistic for role playing. The phone is very popular too! I also cannot fault Step2. When we had had it for 9 months, my daughter poured water into one of the pans (which has holes) when it was on the electronic hob. Obviously this wrecked the sizzling for good! I emailed Step2 asking whether I could buy a replacement part (as the fault was on my side) and they immediately sent me the replacement part free of charge (this was a couple of weeks before Christmas too). I can see this kitchen being used for more than one generation!
