ANOTHER BAD BOY BITES THE DUST! 29 Sept. 2011
By BTR - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
I love those Steeles mainly because they are bad and they assume it's OK to be bad boys who love women. And they don't apologize for their behavior. They love to blame their father for the way they are, although they do acknowledge their parents have a happy marriage. I love seeing each Steele being taken down. I love how Eli would find any excuse to drop into her store and how at the end he gave her his treasure chest. I wished I could have seen when he confronted Stacey's past lover though. I'm sure that would have been a hoot. But I have to consider that an author has only so many pages their publisher allow them to tell their story. My favorite scene was the lunch quickie. Hot!! Keep them coming. I can't wait to see who is the next Steele to fall hard. I love my Alpha men because when they fall, they fall hard and they love forever!

Drew's Boys.. 2 Nov. 2011

I was a bit dismayed with this book after reading the first couple of pages/chapters because there were many similarities to many of her other novels. I was feeling that many things had been recycled from past books and there wouldn't be anything fresh between the covers of this book. Boy, was I wrong. While I will admit that there is recycled cliches' that she utilizes in most of her novels, there was a genuine great story here. The relationship between Eli Steele, a strong African American alpha male and Stacey was sizzling HOT. Scorching if you will! I think by far, A Steele for Christmas is one of her HOTTEST books yet. As always, the close and endearing relationship between the large Steele family, their education and wealth is all a plus to read about. Especially when it's rarely discussed in the news or anywhere else for that fact. It's awesome to be reminded that yes, there are many African Americans that are wealthy, educated, contributing members of society, have close loving relationships and families and are not all on welfare and or in prison. I thank Mrs. Jackson for always noting this in her novels. I am a fan and always will be. Kudos to her and I can't wait for the next read.

Ugh... 10 May 2012

I didn't like this book.
I have read over 25 Brenda Jackson books and this is the first one that I genuinely didn't like.
The book was nothing but sex, sex, and more sex.
I didn't understand how Eli and Stacey fell madly in love after all they did was have mind blowing sex.
They didn't really take the time to get to know each other on a mental and emotional level at any point throughout the story.
The only time we get to know and understand Eli was when he was talking to a family member or when he was thinking about Stacey.
We didn't get to know Stacey until she was talking to her best friend or thinking about her life and Eli.
They never really talked!!!
It drove me crazy that they were in each other's presence and would not physically speak of hold a meaningful conversation; you were reading their thoughts majority of the time.
That baffles me that the main characters didn't have a clue that the other had emotional feelings to the other until the very end of the book.
I won't be rereading this book AT ALL but I will continue to purchase and support Mrs. Jackson.

"A Very Good Christmas" 29 Sept. 2011
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
I truly enjoyed the book "A Steele for Christmas" it was fun to see Eli Steele get taken down by the love bug. For the reviewer that said that it's the same story as the others that the male characters are sluts and try through the entire book to convince the woman that he truly loves her. Well that's normally how it is in majority of the romance books, but it also shows that even a male slut can fall in love with the right woman. I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and the plot I can't wait for the next book.

Ok Read 11 Oct. 2011
By kslmbuggie - Published on Amazon.com

The Steele's are my favorite of BJ's family series, but this storyline did seem a bit recycled with the whole pretend marriage angle. I haven't read the last few BJ books because they all started to look the same, so I'm not all that shocked that this book is along those same lines. The story was ok, could have been better, but I do have to admit that I did like the cat and mouse game Eli played in the beginning. It was cute, and had me smiling throughout the beginning of the book. All in all an OK read, but forgettable and I wouldn't recommend it.
