Steam works game preorder = alpha build scam "field day" ?

Steam works games and needing codes to activate physical copies have just left the pc gamer open to scams like rome total war 2 that test the trades descriptions act. This game is an awful, poorly optimised alpha build which barely works. Why should we pay up front when this mess will be 1/2 price by xmas !!!

Without being able to get refunds publishers know they can release what the hell they want !

Hi I have the physical hard copy from amazon. Did you open and use your steam code to activate the game ?

Yes agreed, i've played all total wars from the beginning and this was a disgrace.
