Review

The plot flows at a furious pace... it's like James Bond on speed. --Sue Leonard, Irish Examiner

Stealing Fire is a book that does exactly what you'd want it to do. It's pacy, exciting, and above all, it grabs your attention and refuses to let go. Get hold of a copy and see what I mean... --Polyolbion

Stealing Fire satisfies all the requirements of good story-telling. It is at once a gripping yarn and a thought-provoking expose of the murky world of international arms dealing... terrific. --Stephen Thompson, Author of Toy Soldiers

5.0 out of 5 stars Pacey thriller that's a lot of fun and difficult to put down, 25 July 2011

The only real complaint I have about this book is that it was over too fast. Luckily I had a spare book on my holiday. The auther writes with authority on a number of subjects and many of the characters are a hoot. For a first novel this seems like it was ambitious in it's scope yet the author keeps the pace going at a blistering rate leaving you hungry for more at the end. Luckily I read that there are plans for a follow up book real soon. Can't wait.

5.0 out of 5 stars Made me feel 12 again.. in a good way, 11 July 2011
This review is from: Stealing Fire
Remember when you were younger? A 12yr old boy who projected himself into whatever book was being read at the time? Do you remember how thrilling and exciting it was as you were able to identify with the protagonist and tried puzzling out the unfolding story, not just reading it?

Well, that's exactly how Craig Sterling makes you feel in "Stealing Fire"; this is Commando comic for the older chap, it's a story of AC/DC proportions and pace (hell, it should come with its own soundtrack), it's the perfect summer read - if you can get hold of a copy, I hear the first print run has almost fully sold and they're rushing a second out to meet (well deserved) demand.

So, I like it - and I'm pretty sure you will too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast and furious, 23 Jun 2011

Fast and furious is how I'd summarize this book. Read it on a sailing trip to Norway and had to discipline myself to occassionaly look out on my watch. Just couldn't stop reading it. Impressive debut. I look forward to the sequel!
