She was born to be a thief. To save the world, she will have to become a queen…

Zoey Donovan-Quinn is growing restless. After months of searching, her crew hasn’t been able to locate the resting place of the one man who could save Daniel. While they frantically continue their quest, Zoey is still struggling to recover from the devastating losses she suffered in Faery. In the midst of her grief and worry, Louis Marini appears and demands the Blood Stone he forced Zoey to steal. Zoey has no other choice than to hand it over.

When the giant ruby’s true nature is revealed, Zoey discovers she has given their greatest enemy a weapon of unimaginable power. Equipped with the Blood Stone, Marini intends to dominate the supernatural world and, on a more personal note, claim Zoey as his companion.

Desperate and on the run, Zoey, Dev, and Daniel forge an unlikely alliance with an old adversary who claims he can lead them to the wizard who can free Daniel from Marini’s clutches and help him claim his throne. As they race to solve a thousand-year-old mystery and gather their forces for the ultimate battle, Zoey prepares to do what she does best.

If Daniel and Dev are to have any hope of victory, she will have to do the unthinkable... surrender to Louis Marini and steal back the Blood Stone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lexi Blake does it again 19 Jun 2014

Words can't express how fantastic this while series has been. The writing is absolutely superb. I have read Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries series, and when she published Thieves thought I'd give them a go, even though I don't read supernatural themed books.

This is an epic finale to a wonderful series; it had me on the edge of my seat. And the best bit? Finding out there is a spin off to come in January :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Runs the gamut of emotions 5 Jun 2014

Very brief synopsis - We are at the end game, and all of the players are in position. There is laughter and extreme joy, which slides into horror and the agony of loss. There is no way, really, to summarize Steal the Night without giving too much away, and I do not want to spoil this extraordinary story for anyone.

What worked for me - Ms. Blake has incorporated my all time, very favorite mythology into this series, with her own spin. That part of the story ended abruptly. I feel like that plotline will be revisited in the spin off series.

Throughout the series, we have watched Dev, Daniel and Zoey learn to work together, and they really function as a team in StN. The trio has cemented their bond to each other, and it is a beautiful thing to see.

The story grabs ahold and continues to escalate until this reader had to set her ereader down to take a deep breath, or several. We get extreme highs and devastating lows.

What I am still having a hard time processing-***Potential Spoilers- If you are good at reading between the lines and don't want to be spoiled, consider yourself warned -*** Zoey is in a very dangerous situation. Dev and Daniel know where she is. She has a specific task that she needs to accomplish, but even after she has the tools she needs, she allows herself to remain in dire circumstances. I get that Daniel needed time to heal and gather forces. I understand doing what you need to do to survive, and good for Zoey for that. But it strikes me as so out of character for her to stay when she could have escaped, and most importantly, for Daniel and Dev to allow her to remain in such a horrific state...It made more sense as I was reading, but 2 days later, it's not correlating with what I know about these characters. The whole episode, which takes up about the last third of the book, squicked me out, and made me heartsick, honestly.

Bottom line - This is a great series. Don't try to start with Steal the Night because it is not meant to be a standalone. Books 3 and 4 remain my favorites. Steal the Night was really hard for me to read in some places, and reminded me why Urban Fantasy really doesn't work for me, as a genre. If Ms. Blake wasn't driving this particular bus, I probably would have given up after book 2. That said, I am glad I didn't give up. I will be on board for the next run in this world. Time and money extremely well spent.

5.0 out of 5 stars emotional fantastic ride 8 Jun 2014

What an amazing series. I can't believed how much I laughed and cried throughout the series. Dev, Zoey, and Daniel's story is done. They had many great adventures that kept you guessing and in the edge of your seat. I guess that's why I liked the series so much. Lives you want to seek out and adventures you want to live through. I know there will be a day I have to visit the amazing world of Zoey Donovan Quinn again. You can't help but want to see them over and over.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top quality fantasy series from beginning to end 7 Jun 2014

I have been in love with this cast of characters right from the start of the series, and every single book has been consistently exciting, funny and heartwarming. I don't want to spoil anything so I'm deliberately keeping this general, but Zoey, Danny and Dev's story comes to its resolution and quite frankly I will miss them terribly. However, things are still happening in this novel that indicate Lexi Blake has plotlines continuing beyond this series, and I'm thrilled at the prospect of a spinoff. There were some very emotional moments in here but I could still finish my journey with a smile. Congratulations Lexi Blake on a job well done. Loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A suspenseful, paranormal romance that will satisfy your every craving... 3 Jun 2014
By Shayna Renee's Spicy Reads - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Take a deep breath…inhale…exhale…inhale…exhale! Ok, I think I’m ready now. I will try my best to keep this review short and sweet. When it comes to this series, or with any Lexi Blake book, I can talk about them for hours and hours. There is just something about every single journey that Lexi takes us on. I never want it to end. It’s so magical, so intense, and so damn beautiful that the reality that you stepped away from to enter Lexi’s world, is no longer appealing AT ALL! I would stay submerged in them if that was at all possible. I would just love to bury myself inside Ms. Blake’s mind and live there forever. The gorgeous, vivid imagination that this woman has is ridiculous. Suspenseful, paranormal romance is her calling, and I am just ecstatic that I was along for the ride.

My favorite trio is back and people are still trying to take them down…SHOCKER! With the Blood Stone in hand, more and more enemies come out of the woodwork. There is never a shortage of enemies when it comes to Dev, Danny, Zoey, and the rest of the crew. If you are a fan of Arthurian legend, then you will absolutely love this latest installment of the Thieves Series. Merlin, Lady of the Lake, Excalibur…I just smile at the great modernization and imagination from the author when it comes to this legend. It was brilliant to say the least.

OMG! I know what you all are waiting for! You want me to spill on Dev and Danny’s relationship! NOT GONNA HAPPEN! It is SO JUICY though, you have NO IDEA! There is one scene….WOW! I don’t care who you are, what gender you are, what sex you prefer, Lexi Blake couldn’t have written two male characters more perfect, and who compliment each other so well. It’s PERFECTION. The love, the tenderness, the complete surrender that these three show one another is beyond reproach. I fell hard for all of these characters, it is simply impossible not to.

As an avid fan of the Thieves novels, I was informed that I might throw my kindle during a certain part of Steal The Night. I have to say that I was definitely informed correctly. Not only did I want to throw my kindle across the room, I wanted to demand a re-write of the scene right then and there. But, I am a grown woman, so I stayed patient, and even though Lexi Blake shattered my heart into a million pieces with one particular scene, slowly, with her brilliance, she eventually put it back together again. My heart still hurts, but only for longing of when I will see a certain character once again.

Steal The Night is not a standalone title. This series must be read in order. I’m not going to say much about it, because I’m afraid of giving something away, but just know that once you begin, you will be hooked. There will be no turning back. Put the coffee on, and be prepared for a long night.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful set of books! 18 Sep 2014

This is the final book in the "Thieves" Series, and the review (SPOILER FREE!) are for the whole series.

I've been a fan of Lexi Blake for awhile, and really enjoy everything she's written that I can get my hands on. This series is no exception. The five books cover a large chunk of time well, and give plenty of room for both character development and personal character growth. Each different personality in the book shines through, and she doesn't let any one thing overwhelm the story. See something in Book 1? Be assured that by the end of Book 5, she wraps up everything.

There was also a lot of emotional nuance in the storyline that can be missed in some large arcs. She hits on difficult topics more than once, and does it well without losing you from the actual story.

Please note that the sex is graphic andl it's really well done (like all her stuff). I can't wait for her next series with in this world. I even recommended these to my mom, which is saying something as it's "erotica."
