I am a retired merchant navy deck officer and have written three books, my first is a biography of my four year deck apprentice with Irish Shipping Ltd. 1957-61 'Steady as She Goes' and is now on Kindle. This book has been a best seller in paperback and a new edited edition is on Kindle. The second book is a crime thriller with a difference as the killer is a crewman on a merchant ship 'The Atlas Murders'. My third book which will be on Kindle in the next few months is 'An Auld Bed in Havana', a romance thriller with deception and avarice deep rooted in the Cuban secret police force, but one young Irishman and a beautiful Cuban girl with Jewish European heritage overcome all with bravery and love.
I like to paint and fish in the somewhat turbulent Atlantic ocean on my door step especially during the summer months. I enjoy foreign holidays especially to the Caribbean. I am married to Ann and have five children, one boy followed the naval path and is a communications officer on cruise liners.
