Book Description

24 Mar 2007 Staying Sane
When the hot flushes start, these stories will help you stay cool, stay slim, and stay in charge of the menopause! They took away Hormone Replacement Therapy, and now the hot flushes are back with a vengeance. What's a menopausal gal to do? If you're tired of fanning yourself in meetings or in the supermarket queue, cool down and take pleasure in these stories from those who have gone to the front lines of the battle - and survived. Here's how other savvy, sexy women have tamed the mid-life demons and stayed lean, even keeled, and in charge of "The Change"! Misery loves company, and sometimes the only advice we'll take is from someone who has already stood in our shoes. Whether you're trying to give up smoking, lose weight, or having the in-laws move in for a month, the "Staying Sane" series provides readers with just this kind of been-there, done-that commiseration. Each book in the series is filled with sometimes humorous, sometimes inspiring, but always sanity-saving success stories of how other people have overcome obstacles to rise above the situations in question. Practical tips and coping strategies lighten the readers' load throughout.

5.0 out of 5 stars Humor and Truth - Sometimes at the same time 1 April 2007
By John Matlock - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book, part of a series of 'Staying Sane' through some of the common experiences of life features a series of stories/articles/essays or whatever you'd call them from people who've 'been there, done that, and made every other mistake as well.'

The editors of this book are female. Most of the articles are by females, and I feel obligated to make a make comment or two. First and perhaps second, third and fourth -- This is not anything within your realm of experience. You have no hope of understanding what's going on. The stories you are told, and the explanations you hear make no sense at all. But cheer up, it only lasts for about ten years. Oh yes, you may want to find a friendly bar nearby for when you're thrown out of the house, you'll probably be let back in eventually.

If you're seen other wives go through this, tyours will be different, this book will give you a lot of humor. If you're new to the game, there is more truth here than you would expect.
