Book Description

What does it mean to be cool? The quality has always been hard to define, but easy to identify. James Dean. Miles Davis. They were cool. Joe Montana scrambling in the pocket. Steve McQueen riding a motorcycle. Very cool. To that list, you can now add another towering paragon of cool: the mighty polar bear.

In Stay Cool, award-winning polar photographer Jonathan Chester and writer Patrick Regan reveal the uncanny life lessons to be learned from polar bears, those imposing but endlessly appealing kings of the Arctic.

Pithy, clever, and surprisingly heartwarming, Stay Cool illustrates that these wild creatures with a strong sense of self and the ability to rely on their instincts have something useful to teach us all, making this keepsake book a great gift for people of all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most wonderful read 24 Mar. 2012
By Tonic
Format:Kindle Edition
My boyfriend bought this for me and it is wonderful. There are beautiful pictures of polar bears, with lots of lovely sound words of advice. It really relaxes me to read it. At the back, there are lots of polar bear facts and information about where the various pictures were taken. This book would be good for a child, I'm sure, but shouldn't be underestimated as a sweet and thoughtful gift for an adult. It makes me smile, and the pictures are gorgeous. Excellent present.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice book - great present 28 Nov. 2012
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This is a small size book, about 20cm square, nicely produced with some appealing photographs of polar bears being polar bears, with each picture there's a short quip. The book has a good hard cover and is printed on quality glossy paper. I bought it as a Christmas present and it makes an ideal gift for adults or children. You could say it's a 'cool gift'. Recommended.

A simple book for all ages, the photos are superb and the words are just fun and educating at the same time. My daughter has this read this so many times she knows the words before the page turns over. The polar bears are so cute.
