I had this album on vinyl and like everyone else sold my record collection. Glad to see all Crass material has been re-released on CD.
More of a politically inspired band than a music band, although some of the tunes are rather catchy. The lyrics are superb and as others say are just as relevant today, possibly more so. There projection of the future has come and what can we do about it? Possibly try to get as many listening to the message put across by bands like Crass and their American equivalent the Dead Kennedy's.
This is there best album both lyrically and musically, a gem, shame that the lyrics are not on the sleeve anymore, but space is limited on CD.
After buying this one, the best of 1984 is next best.

As a young punk I was intrigued by Crass. They were a mystery marked out by painted stencils on leather jackets. This, their 2nd album, is more mixed than the first mini album. Apart from the straightforward thrash and swearing there are the first dabblings with tape loops. The best thing about Crass were the lyrics. Songs like Hurry up Garry and Mother Earth targeted vile creatures like Bushell and the tabloid press respectively. The live recording at the end of the CD is a bit patchy but is representative. I just feel sorry for the bloke who wants them to play "Securicor".

In my opinion: quite simply the best album ever produced. Crass at their best with 3 sides ( as it was on the vinyl version )of pure impassioned protest with some gems of musically brilliance ( I've always felt that Crass's creative ability was never fully appreciated by enough people).

Every track is a classic even the live side of the album is a valuable document of Crass's live sound and ideas at the time.

Essential listening and even better with cd quality.
