Alan Vega,now 70 years old and,thankfully,showing no sign of settling down with pipe and slippers.
Having,with his other band Suicide and solo,toyed with abstract electronics,rockabilly and eighties pop,with this album he's back to a harsh distorted electronic sound with hard beats and his psycho Alien Elvis style.
Along with that other groundbreaking band,Sparks,Vega is not descending into the mellow rootsy morass of so many long term pioneers.
It's an acquired taste you could say,but should please the Suicidally inclined.

Well well well Alan Vega certainly has not become any softer with age. This is very very rough and hard electronica from one of the pioneers. It is very bleak with a very hard and grating sound along with his typical "singing". While the last Suicide CD had some more poppy elements to it, this certainly does not. Not for the faint of heart but really recommended
