LaBrie 30 Sep 2010
Format:Audio CD
First time of hearing James LaBrie's solo work i was not impressed, however after a few listens to this album, and being a big DT and Prog fan i find myself listening to it over and over again
LaBrie is an amazing vocalist in the world of Prog
i also hear now hes finished this album hes taken an interest in a new up and coming prog band by the name of Core Project, another one to watch Singularities Part 1 [Explicit]

Have you ever like me wondered what two of your favourite bands, Dream Theater and In Flames, would sound like fused together?

Well this is as close as you're gonna get. James has used a sound very similar to the Gothenberg sound created by In Flames with harmonised leads heavy riffs and epic chorus's.

The album is good throughout and stays pretty heavy. If you like good metal music with lots of riffs and great song writing check this out.

The Dream Theater influence does go past that of James's voice. The opening track even breaks down to a fusionesque bass solo.

This is probably James's best effort so far and it will take the sting out of Mike Portnoy leaving.

I've bought this product because I'm a Dream Theater fan and for those who don't know that already, James LaBrie is DT's (front) singer. The first solo album was a bit disappointing, but this one is cool. The first tw songs are quite hard and then, the rest becomes softer, smouther and great. The sound is different, the collaboration is different, and the result is greater than the first 'Element of Persuasion' album.
If you want to get it, don't hesitate anymore. Basically, you won't regret it!
