2.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing 7 April 2012
By Moira Allen - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I suppose I should have paid more attention to the page count. This LOOKS like it's going to be a grand, huge guide, but it's actually quite small and doesn't give much information that can't be found in half a dozen other books and guides. I have much more interesting collections of "stately houses" on my shelf already; I sent this one back.

This book is very useful for visitors to the UK who are unsure which castles, palaces and stateley homes to tour during their vacation stay.
