I rate films on how well I enjoy them and not on their quality. There were scenes which admittedly had me ROFL. The film does not only satire "The Hunger Games" but also satires other films as well as modern society, an aspect which I liked. The humor was indeed stupid and even crude at times. One line from the film about a past game:

"No one could anticipate Oprah would eat all the other contestants."

The speech given at the end by the Samuel L. Jackson character actor had me in tears. Maiara Walsh who played the star Kantmiss Evershot reminded me of Zooey Deschanel more than Jennifer Lawrence. The actual film is short as it has a sad 10 minute blooper reel at the end.

I enjoyed the film, it reminded me of "Your Highness" minus some of the crudeness. Other films spoofed include, Oz, Potter, LOTR, Avatar, Avengers, Expendables, plus more.

Parental Guide: No F-bombs, but does have a lot of adult language. Censored sex scene. Male streaker with rear nudity.

Great film! Very funny spin off which many hunger games fans will enjoy! - bit rude in places though so not for young children!

Not as funny as expected. Has story line of hunger games though and manages to keep that throughout. Seen once but not a film you can see again without loosing the will to watch fully.

I was really looking forward to giving this to my son as he's a massive 'Hunger Games' fan. He was really disappointed in it & said he didn't really enjoy it & wasn't bothered in watching it anymore in the future.

Having read the books and seen the movies (so far), I really enjoyed this, especially the start where Katniss (sorry, Kantmiss) volunteers in place of her sister but only after an initial, very funny, shameless bout of gloating at not getting picked herself.

Yes, a lot of the jokes are pretty lame and I feel the movie could have been sooo much better (you could probably get away with watching the trailer) but I did like it's take on the original, 'Today is day of the gathering, so parents please bring your beloved children to the square for a random death lottery'. Also, the bit where Peter uses his skills as a baker to hide himself (as a giant pink cake)...genius!

All the actors from Kantmiss's little sister to President Snowballs really give their comedy all in this but a special mention should go to Gale (sorry, Dale) who is much more fleshed out here and spends the latter part of the movie getting increasingly incensed at Kantmiss's wild behaviour in the cave culminating with him actually storming the set!
