Having just listened to the full stream of Bowie's new album over at i-tunes I am very glad, and proud, to be a Suede fan right now. Bowie sort of, well totally, eclipsed Suede's comeback with their free download of (the fantastic) Barriers with his (sort of OK) Where are We Now? It seemed very much like the Pied Piper squashing one of the rats, and Brett Anderson could clearly only sort of sit in the corner with a dunce hat on.

Or so it seemed.

The Bowie album has been given 5/5 reviews in a few places, and it is just lunacy. Suede have always been in debt to Bowie and will always be in the shadow of his influential 1970s hey day, but that is still a pretty good place to be. Bowie also has a HUGE fan base, the majority of which would buy a pair of his worn socks, not on show at the V&A, for £10,000. Brett's socks would sell for about £100 I reckon, but, the key here is that they have the better album. It is also tangible, and awkward for Bowie, that 'The Next Day' sounds somewhat like 'A New Morning'.

Suede have matched Coming Up, if not a little more, and they should be utterly proud. Hard work pays off and that is inspiring.

After a long studio absence, this song shows they have lost absolutely none of what made them a favourite among their many fans.

An amazing track, and can't wait for the album!!!

A fabulous, high energy return for Suede, sporting all of the quality ingredients you'd expect from this band including great lyrics belted out from Anderson's charismatic voice.

Fantastic song for the new suede album after the best of and the last three years of touring and writing together.
