Review

'Encouraging and practical, Green's book covers all the basics...an entrepreneur himself Green knows the questions to ask.' -- Management Today

-- Making Money

From the Author

2005 is the tenth successive year in publication for Starting Your Own Business, the bestselling guide to planning and building a successful enterprise.

To celebrate an extremely successful decade in print I have added additional material to the recently launched 4th edition: new chapters, more checklists, and in particular a comprehensive chapter on why women excel in small business. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS AUTHOR KNOWS HIS STUFF 27 Mar 2003
Format:Paperback
I am planning to launch my own business in May of this year and I've been reading lots of books on the subject of start-ups. This one is the most comprehensive I've come across. Found the chapter on securing public sector funding most instructive - it has provided me with useful inroads which I'm currently pursuing

A great book for anyone thinking about starting a business from scratch with little or no experience. Using simple but illustrative examples, the author raises and discusses many of the practical issues of starting up. The book is a very readable introduction that gets the reader thinking along the right lines, and is full of references to other sources of information on more specific topics.
