You know that delicious feeling you get when you discover a new author? I followed a link to Sue Moorcroft's website, clicked on a link to a preview chapter of Starting Over, and I was hooked. I bought the book right there. The writing draws you in, the characterisation is perfect. You'll adore Tess, because she is a very real heroine, and fall madly in love with the gorgeous Ratty (and I promise you'll stop thinking about The Wind in the Willows after a couple of pages because you'll be too busy swooning over him). I stayed up until 2am, woke up the next morning and didn't move until I'd finished. I can't wait to read more of Sue Moorcroft's writing!

i loved this book 4 of my friends also read it. and they thought it was lovely.my first book i have read by sue but will be reading all the other books she has written/

A real winner 7 May 2011

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but the characters drew me in from page one. I was even won over speedily by Ratty. Tess was super-real and I was so jealous of her gift with a pencil! (And her hair, of course.) A glorious page-turner. I went straight back to Kindle to buy All That Mullarkey.

Enjoyable read
I really enjoyed this book apart from one section where I couldn't feel sympathetic for the main character at all! Apart from that it was an easy, entertaining read.

the first half was ok but then it got boring I could not warm to the rude and sarcastic Ratty and Tess was just a stupid girl !
