Have you often thought about starting your own business but don't quiet know how to take those first few daunting steps? Often the advice you find is bity or given by people, such as banks, who have a vested interest. This book provides a clear guide through the maze and covers research, planning, financing and implementation. It also provides a comprehensive directory of organisations and resources to help you on your way.

I found this book to be pretty pointless - very brief texts explaining what a business plan is, what to think about before starting a business etc.. pretty obvious stuff that can be found for free on the internet anywhere. The rest was just lists of organisations which can be of use to new businesses, stuff that can again be found using Google.

I have a business idea, I know who my customers are - I was looking for advice on what is actually required to set up and run a business in the UK and this did not help me, it just pointed me in 1000 other directions.
