This book comprises of 5 sets of 24 questions which, when compared to the verbal reasoning book with 20 sets of 25 questions, left me feeling a bit short changed. The questions are straightforward and easy to explain to my son who was baffled by the style of question in the 8-9 age group book (he is a bright 8 year old)and hence it served it's purpose as a basic introduction. Having looked at the 7-8, 8-9 and 9-10 books, it appears that they all suffer from having less than half of the questions of the verbal reasoning, English and Maths books in this series. I realise that this is partly due to the nature of the questions but I would have preferred a thicker book or a reduced price. Although a good book it's not necessarily very good value for money.
