I reused an old case for a PC upgrade, and had absolutely no ports on the front of the case, whereas there were a multitude of ports at the back.

This panel uses the motherboard headers to neatly bring additional ports to the front of your case. Beware of some imitations that just pass wires out the back of the case, and use up the external ports on the back of your case.

You might not need all the ports this panel offers (I only wanted the audio and USB), but they don't cause an issue if you don't connect the ones you don't need.

Not really much to say beyond what the title of my review says - does what it says on the tin - lets you plug usb/firewire/esata/audio stuff into the front of your computer (assuming the motherboard has appropriate connectors). Nothing more, nothing less.

Due to my case being really old it had no front audio ports. I looked over a number of front panels on Amazon, but this one is the only one to add extra ports properly.

Unlike some of the cheaper panels, this one actually connects neatly, directly to the motherboard, adding extra ports rather than simply diverting the rear ports to the front of the case.

Pros:
Very easy to install.
If you've had some experience inside a PC case, it should be a doddle. (If you haven't but have the motherboard manual to hand, it's pretty easy to figure out where all the connectors need to go and you might learn something about your computer in the process.) Once it's connected and your computer is turned on, it should be automatically recognised.

Extra ports.
I only really wanted the audio connectors, but the extra USB2 ports have turned out to be a real time saver. No longer do I have to pull my computer out just to connect a USB device.

HD Audio.
The device contains a HD Audio connector for motherboards that support it, which was a nice bonus.

Con(s):
This is more of a tip really.
I had some old USB1 ports on the front of my case which were interfering with the product. This was likely because they're very old, so I just disabled them (as I never used them) and the product worked fine.

Overall:
I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking to add extra ports to their PC.
