A bit thin... 17 Jan 2009
Format:Paperback
I'm gradually getting into screen printing T Shirts, and have bought a few books relating to this subject. Since I'm still getting into the process, I bought this to complement the few I already have. I have mixed feelings about this book, since it is 111 pages long, of which only the first 41 pages discuss the process. The rest of the book is a huge list of U.S. suppliers for everything one would require, so as a UK citizen, these are pretty useless. Also it keeps relating back to 'The Video' and pages 41 to 53 are merely promotions for various 'Start Up' packages, and therefore is by no means a stand alone book, but more a promotional tool for the company run by the authors. Having said that, the very bullet point simple way it does discuss the process is not without merit. If parting with a few quid and making your own mind up is ok with you, then give it a go. I found the chapter on seperating colours in Photoshop invaluable, and this hasn't really been covered in other books I have so it was worth it for that. I'll give it 2 stars as it is pretty thin overall, useful as a complement to other resources, but not really strong enough in its own right.

This book consists of 70% contact details for suppliers in North America and 30% very basic information (2 minutes of opening google search results gathered more info). No useful insights or tips are provided and the fact that the so-called authors are now involved in acting and photography is reflected in its lazy, shoddy cut and paste content.
Total waste of money.

could have got the same information off the internet for free in about twenty minutes
which is how long it took me to read this book as only half the book is information
the rest is suppliers in america and canada. The authors really taxed themselves
writing this book(not!)
the book is worth about 50 pence and thats only if you need something to stop your
table wobbling!
