This book is invaluable for anyone looking to start their own home based business but isn't quite sure what they'd like to do. The second section of the book provides loads of ideas to get you thinking, explaining what you need to set up, capital requirements, earning potential and where you can get more help. If, like me, you have no idea about financial requirements, product pricing and business plans, the first part of the book will provide very useful reference material. Nick Daws' style is very readable and he presents his ideas and advice in a clear, informative manner. I strongly recommend this book!

Great starting point for beginners,

This book is highly recommended to those thinking of setting up a home-based business, but may not be sure of the field they wish to enter. Lots of helpful tips covering all aspects of business start-up, especially for those with no previous experience of business knowledge.The book is split into 2 main sections, the first covering lots of ideas for businesses, summarising what your start-up needs and costs may be, and what experience and training (if any) you need for each of these ideas. As I am already trained in my chosen field (web design) the first part of the book was not really appropriate to me personally as I knew what I was going for. The second part however is great for all budding entrepeneurs, whether beginning or experienced, as it gives many handy hints on what to do, where to go, who to talk to etc. Even though I already knew the kind of people I need to seek advice and what I need to start up, I found that I was sticking bookmarks on many a page and noting down plenty of contact addresses and numbers for future reference! All-in-all a great book for anyone even considering working from home, cheap at twice the price!
