Excellent Book! 5 Feb 2012

I have bought several similar books with advice about opening a Coffee Shop but I have to say that this is the best of the lot! I opened my Coffee Shop 15 months ago and treat this book as my 'Bible'. It has so much useful information and helped me avoid lots of mistakes along the journey of opening up. The recipes are fantastic and I can recommend the empire biscuits & sticky toffee buns (my best sellers)
If you buy any book at all, buy this one!! :)

I love this book It's full of really useful advice and also has some great recipes at the back. It's invaluable and after I borrowed it from the library I brought my own copy. It's cool and fab.

I received this book very very quickly. There was a bit of bending on the top corners, but other than that it was in good shape. The problem I found with this book is that it is for someone hoping to start a coffee shop in the U.K., not in the U.S. All of the dollar amounts are in British Pounds and the menus are oriented towards the U.K. also. It seems like it would be an ok book by glancing at the content, focusing more on menu than the actual business side, pro formas, etc. It is by no means a comprehensive guide. So, if you want to open a shop in the U.S. this is definitely not the book to get. If you're in the U.K., it seems decent.
