The author does not give any advice or ideas for VC funding, just very practical, easy-to-realize tools and hints for your small, self-funded (say bootstrapped) start-up.

He also clearly points out the main aspects of doing business and stresses that the product itself (i.e. software code) is only 1/3 of your final offer/solution.

In my view, a must-read for all the starting entrepreneurs (mainly focused on ICT) or entrepreneurs-to-be.

It is really refreshing to find a book full of practical, realistic advice on building a real, successful company rather than trying to be the next google. Rob is also very honest and puts in a lot of his personal experiences.

If you realise that you are a family man but want your own business as well Mr. Walling has you covered. With his personal experience of both you will be well advised to listen to him. Don't miss out. Mr. Walling also has a podcast ("Startup for the rest of us" on ITunes) which is a perfect companion to the book and reveals the everyday life of a small business owner. Techzing podcast on ITunes, program 165 interviews Mr.Walling about the adventures with his company HitTail. Highly Recommended.
