I initially started my working life as an Engineer within several firms in the UK and abroad but for many years I had an itch to work for myself. Eventually the itch became too great and I investigated various options for self-employment. After a great deal of research, I eventually jumped in the deep end and started my own Real Estate lettings business.
My first book was therefore, focussed on setting up and running a letting agency. The idea for the book was developed due to the difficulty I had in finding relevant information on operating this type of business. The book, at the time was the only one covering the subject.
The business model for the letting agency was heavily biased to online marketing and, as I had a low budget, I designed my own company website. Therefore, much of the book is dedicated to marketing online.
