As usual the musicianship is exemplary although keyboardist Mic Michaeli is almost inaudible on some of the heavier tracks. Indeed this album is a full on guitar album and I think it's probably the band's heaviest album to date; the intense riffage on 'Song #12' showing they mean business. Even so, there are lighter moments such as the tongue in cheek 'Sucker' and, of course, the softer side of the band in the shape of 'Hero' and 'Settle For Love'.
