5.0 out of 5 stars Thankyou BKB, 3 April 2008
By D. Rennick "Damage 212" (S**tsville UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
They say that the 2nd album of a bands carear is the hard one. Your first album comprises of all the songs u have just spent the last 3 years touring the arse out of and have been tried, tested, re-tried, ignored, forgotten and finally recorded. The second album is a different beast, it has probably been written in the studio whist under pressure from record companys and producers, and is sometimes a bridge too far for some bands (See Stone Roses, Machine Head, Panic at the disco)

BKB however have managed to pull it off, probably because in Chris Peck they have a Singer/Songwriter of genuine class. Tracks like 'Paris' and 'Be Somebody' represent a development of the sound found on 'Civilian' but they never loose sight of why that album was so good. Its angular and anthemic pop, but done with a sense of humour and entertainment. I really hope they're gonna play Bennicassim this year, cos last time I saw them they were MINT!!!!!!

Hopefully this album will turn the band into the world-beating megastars that they deserve to be, but everyone will probably just buy the new Take That one instead, idiots.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bang On Form, 31 Mar 2008
By C. Bert "Cbo" (London, UK) - See all my reviews
Saw the band live a few weeks ago and they were great. The album doesn't disappoint either, with Promises and Kidda Kidda being fantastic. I really enjoyed the first album, Civilian but there is so much more depth to this one. I have listened to it three times since it arrived this morning and it gets better each time. Keep up the good work lads.
