In 'Paradise Lost' Maybourne tells Jack of a planet that used to be inhabited by the Furlings and hosts a weapon, a key to which Maybourne holds. 5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent DVD with some fine episodes 6 July 2003
Volume 29 of the long-running sci-fi show 'Stargate SG-1' contains some thrilling episodes that continue to mould the unfolding saga.

In 'Sight Unseen' Sg-1 begins seeing things in a parallel reality. Sam comes up with an amazing explanation!

In Smoke and Mirrors, the 'NID' story arc gets continued, with an assassination attempt on Senator Kinsey. A great whodunnit? storyline that keeps you in suspense.

'Paradise Lost' ties up the Colonel Maybourne story arc, with o'Neil and Maybourne stuck in an alien paradise.

'Metamorphosis' ties up the Goa'uld Nirrti story arc, and we get to see what she was really up to. A great way to end that particular thread of episodes.

All the episodes on the disc leave you content that you have got your money worth's here: not a single bad episode.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sixth Season of Stargate SG-1 10 July 2003
By A Customer
I was a little disappointed with this season, it seemed to have lost something of the humour of the previous seasons... Still some good story telling, but not the best season...

4.0 out of 5 stars stargate review volume 29 24 Jun 2003
Four more unique episodes from the stargate gang. 'sight unseen 'a nice little breather from the main story line introducing some strange little creatures from a parallel reality. 'Smoke and mirrors' goes back to the NID stories seeing O'neill charged with the assasination of Senator Kinsey with some good little twists.'Paridise lost'' welcomes back the evil good guy maybourne for a great episode with some creative yet hilarious face pulling from Anderson.'Metamorphisis' finally see's the end of Nirrti and nearly the end of Carter but not quite woohoo. some fantastic special FX throught the episode (no surprise there then). The director series offers some pretty revealing ideas and the commentaries are as usual fab. well worth the look
