I read this book with the hopes it wouldn't be a tacky re-written plot. In fact, it kept close to the plot and the charactors were almost identicle to how they are portrayed in the series.
As Jack O'Neill would say, I was a happy camper!

This book by Ashley MCConnel is based on the pilot episode of Stargate SG-1. The way she describes the characters, and the way they interact is better in the book than in the pilot.

I read the whole book in one afternoon - that's how good it was! I had already seen the episode on TV which made the book even better. The characters were very true to the series and the author managed to capture O'Niels humour(if you can call it that!)Would recommend it to anyone, whether you've seen the series or not.

excellent, a good adaption of the t.v. series
