5.0 out of 5 stars Stargate SG1 Season 9 Volume 47 29 Jun 2006
By Mr. T. Brandon VINE™ VOICE
All I will say about the as ever abundant commentaries is that it is once again great to see a cast member on a commentary, something not so rare for the Stargate cast. The only other extra on this disc is a featurette, "An Introduction to Ben Browder". this gives a deep look at Ben Browder, his attitude to stunts and his character of Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell. While both interesting and amusing, I do wonder why this geature is on this particular disc, way after Mitchell has been integrated into the team. I can't help but feel that this feature is made more for the first disc as we are introduced to a character we are by now very familiar with. In spite of this it is another great disc and has an always fun alternate universe episode.

2.0 out of 5 stars Stargate S.G.1 - Series 9 12 Aug 2006
By TheRedBlueBlur VINE™ VOICE
It's just not the same! Jack O'Neil is no more and has been replaced by a new guy (Ben Browder). If Richard Dean Anderson had to leave why didn't they just continue with the original remaining cast? The producers could have even included a minor character addition to the team to add a little comedy. The new guy may bring in Farscape fans, but he does nothing for me. Typical ex test pilot square jawed jock all american boy, but as dull as dishwater. You could swap him with the guy from Stargate Atlantis and I don't think anyone would notice straight away. Sorry.

The old team was funny, familiar and gelled well. The new team just hasn't got it. Very dissapointing, very sad. Oh well....
