5.0 out of 5 stars A Fairytale 9 Nov 2002
By Ms. C. M. Winton VINE™ VOICE
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This is the story of Kendrick de Piaget who can be found in various other novels by Lynn Kurland. Only it is now present day and Kendrick is cursed to always remain a ghost and tied to Seakirk keep.

Genevieve Buchanan's life seems to be falling apart and inherting a castle in Scotland is just want she needed. She has always dreamed of owning one. Everyone told her the castle had a few quirks but no one told her it was haunted and by such handsome and charming knight. Well he only became charming after frighting her didn't work. It would just be her luck that the man she is falling in love with is not even breathing. She wonders painfully what it would be like if he were alive. Well she may just get the chance.

This is one of my favorite books by Lynn Kurland. This is a wonderful fairytale with a very lovable knight in shining armour you can not help but adore him. Kurland is a wonderful and discriptive writer but I sometime think she lacks one element of making the story almost believeable. She never writes indepth love scenes. She always skips to the after. Still edearing characters and interesting story line. A book to treasure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly magnificent, not to be missed. 13 Jan 2000
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This is the first Lynn Kurland book I have read and I couldn't put it down until the end. I now have all of her books but have yet to read them with the exception of "The Christmas Cat", which introduces Kendrick to us. "Stardust of Yesterday" is a truly magical story that you will never want to end. 5 stars is not enough for a story such as this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars charming characters! 24 July 1998
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I simply loved this book! Ms. Kurland must have had a wonderful time writing it. I've read several of books this summer, and this has been the best. I swear I got a bit weak-kneed in some parts myself! Parts of this book were absolutely heartbreaking; others had me laughing out loud. I loved Kendrick's battles with the kitchen appliances. I have to agree that it was a little frustrating to have Ms. Kurland leave out there beautiful first time together, but still loved this book. Now, if I could only get my husband to read it....

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully written, very homourous 13 Aug 2003
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This book is a wonderfull piece of writing.

Genevieve Buchanan inherits a beautiful castle. But she doesn't expect to have a ghost living with her. Especially when the ghost wants to frighten her away and seduce her.
I really enjoyed this story. This is my first book by Lynn Kurland and it won't be the last. I couldn't put it down. I fell in love with both characters and Kendrick de Piaget is the best good looking hero.
I only gave it four stars because I thought the author could go into more depth. But still is good.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Escape! 26 April 1999
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This was truly a wonderful book. To have the tension mount within myself and released through laughter and then to be drawn back with tears left great anticipation throughout. The book cover is great...shows a mystery and desire in his eyes to draw any reader within. Thanks a million "Lynn"!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars AN ADULT FAIRYTALE... 1 Dec 2002
By Lawyeraau HALL OF FAME TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This is a fairytale for adults. Though not particularly well written, it is, nonetheless, a humorous and inventive story of a modern day virgin who inherits a castle and her very own ghost. The ghost is literally a knight in shining armor. This handsome and charming thirteenth century knight is doomed to haunt the halls of this castle keep for all eternity, unless he can persuade a descendant of the woman who consigned him to his fate to sign the castle over to him. Needless to say, the ghost and this twentieth century maiden fall in love. What happens to them is sure to delight readers of romance novels everywhere.
