A really solid metal box, this KVM switch appears to be working well so far. However, previous StarTek KVM boxes have come with composite cables that included video, USB and audio connections. This item does not come with any cables and the purchase of HDMI and USB cables is a significant extra expense - if you wish to make the audio connections, you also need four audio cables.
The device is very much plug and go but the computers to which it was connected required a few reboots before responding correctly to the keyboard and mouse. In particular, the mouse caused a few problems because initially some programs did not respond correctly and the computer would only wake up from "sleep" mode using the keyboard.
I am waiting to see how long the power supply lasts as on previous StarTek KVM switches that I have owned the power supply gave out within a matter of weeks.
Had this item included cables, I would more than likely have rated it highly but their omission saves StarTek only a few pence but costs the buyer significantly extra.
