Manufacturer's Description

The saga of Starkiller, Darth Vader's secret apprentice, is far from over as the best-selling Star Wars game ever continues along the dark path. Apparently killed at the end of the last game, a new clone of Starkiller has emerged and is being hunted by Darth Vader and the Empire.

Vader's secret apprentice returns to seek revenge
Use two lightsabres at once and dismember enemy troops
Take on enemies many times your size with Force fury
The Force is still your strongest ally in battle

Building on the all-action gameplay of the original you'll be able to take control of one of the most powerful Force users ever seen in the Star Wars universe. Wielding twin lightsabres you can now dismember enemies and use even more powerful Force powers, including mind tricks and the new Force fury.

A new targeting system, more complex puzzles and even the chance to pilot a TIE Fighter create a more varied and nuanced game than its predecessor. With new state-of-the-art graphics and the darkest and most emotional storyline ever in a Star Wars game the Force will definitely need to be with you this time.

Key Features
  • Darth Killer: Set between the prequel and original trilogy, take the role of Darth Vader's errant apprentice as you search for your lost love and seek revenge on your former master.
  • Two for One: Wield dual lightsabres as you fight a more varied range of enemies and take part in unique boss battles with a truly epic scale.
  • Force yourself: Utilise new Force powers such as mind trick - which causes enemies to fight each other - and Force fury to give a boost to all your standard abilities.
  • Deep Space: More involved mission objectives include true puzzle-solving and vehicular combat, including the chance to pilot a TIE Fighter.
  • Special FX: Stunning graphics use state-of-the-art technology including physics engine Havok, motion system Euphoira and material simulator Digital Molecular Matter.
About the Developer: LucasArts
Although they now make far less games internally than they used to, when they were famous for their graphic adventures, LucasArts still has an in-house team to make their own games. Their most recent success has been the The Force Unleashed series, as well as other Star Wars games.

Short, too short 15 Nov 2010
Platform for Display:PLAYSTATION 3|Edition:Standard Edition
Fun:
I'm no great gamer but completed this in roughly 5 hours, that's surely a disgrace for a £40 odd game.
Looks great, and plays beautifully but for an interactive movie it's a case of "was that it?" on completing it. It feels like a half-thought-out DLC pack for the first game rather than an independent release. My advice is wait til it hits the bargain bins (you won't be waiting long).
I feel robbed to be honest. It seems developers are charging more and more and delivering less and less.

Fun:
Most of the reviews have already summed the game to be honest......its big minus is that it is definitely too short at around 5 - 6 hours. I just couldn't believe I had finished it thinking the end boss was going to leave and I would have way more levels to play. To be honest I feel ripped off as the story is also left hanging, no doubt so more cash is parted with on DLC, especially as there is a link to the PSN store homepage in the main menu!
Gameplay wise its pretty good apart from the repetitive combat - once you know how to defeat an enemy its just too easy.
All in all a big let down and any DLC should be free as this is only half a game.

A WASTE OF MONEY 1 Nov 2010

Platform for Display:PLAYSTATION 3|Edition:Standard Edition
Fun:
I bought this game expecting a real experience. The first one was basic but had a good story. This game however, does not.

For a top teir £40 game that some will put on their Christmas list you will be lucky of the game lasts past Boxing Day... by New Years thsi will be half price on pre owned.

The game is highly glossed but the mechanics are basic.

It is very, very, very, very short. I finished it in one 4 hour sitting.

Thsi is a cynical game that make the industry worse for its existance. I found it really galling that a customer is being asked to spend £40 for such a weak product.

Watch the cutscenes on YouTube but save your money and buy some other game.
