This A4 sized book contains a Clone Wars story with a press out Magnaguard mask.
As a children's story book it is very short and not very well written. It is dull, even if you are interested in the Clone Wars. The short story involves Ahsoka responding to an SOS signal which turns out to be fake, she is attacked by battle droids and calls to be rescued by Obi-Wan & Anakin. Not a particularly inspiring tale; it would have been nice to read about young Ahsoka doing something useful, instead of making a mistake - in the end "Ahsoka apologizes for her foolishness and promises not to go it alone again. Ahsoka seems to have learnt her lesson for now."
The pictures are nothing special, unlike some of the great images in the film or TV series. This is yet another uninspiring, cheaply produced movie/TV tie in and unsuprisingly no one is credited with this story or the illustrations.
However the main problem with this book is that the 3D doesn't work properly. Although the left eye of the mask successfully cuts out the red in the pictures, looking through the blue right eye you can still clearly see the blue ink - which should be invisible if the colours had been correct.
So you are left with a disspointing storybook with blurred looking pictures, with or without using the mask.
There are so many really well written and illustrated children's books these days that I can't see any reason for buying this - unless your child will be pleased with anything connected with the Clone Wars. However, there must be better Clone Wars books than this.
