Product Description

Product Description

The Imperial All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) walker moves across the frozen Hoth landscape toward Echo Base, the Rebel Alliance’s headquarters. This huge transport and combat vehicle is armed with powerful side-mounted blasters and laser chin guns. A command crew operates the AT-AT from the control room in the vehicle’s head. In the body of the vehicle, a transport area can hold speeder bikes and stormtroopers. During the Battle of Hoth, a squadron of Rebel snowspeeders led by Luke Skywalker manages to bring down one of these behemoths by entangling its legs in a tow cable. Unleash a battle of intergalactic proportions with this detailed vehicle, Speeder Bike vehicle and AT-AT Driver figure. Press the button to lower the rappelling platform, attach the figure and press the button to retract the rappelling line. Once your figure is back inside, mount him on the Speeder Bike vehicle and deploy it from the back of your AT-AT vehicle. If additional manpower is needed, your vehicle even holds up to 19 more figures. (Additional figures sold separately.) Light-up reciprocating chin guns, a light-up command section, battle and vehicle sounds and firing side-mounted blasters bring the excitement of the intergalactic saga straight to your living room.

Product Description

Unleash a combination of heavy armour and massive firepower, with the Star Wars Imperial AT-AT walker. The giant Imperial All-Terrain Armoured Transport (AT-AT) walkers were used by the Galactic Empire, and provided a devastating combination of heavy firepower, troop-carrying capacity, and sheer size. During the Battle of Hoth, several AT-ATs are used to lead the attack on the Rebel base. They cause massive damage, and are only stopped when a squadron of Rebel snowspeeders led by Luke Skywalker manages to entangle the legs of one in a tow cable. This massive model of the huge walker is truly massive, over 60cm tall and 70cm long ! It has fully articulated legs , and a handle to move the head. The hold and cockpit open to to reveal enough space to hold up to twenty 10cm action figures . Included in the box are an AT-AT driver to pilot the massive vehicle, and a speeder bike vehicle , that can be launced from the back of the AT-AT with a button press. The blaster weapons mounted on the vehicles head have light and sound firing effects . The cockpit has a light-up control panel, and there is a button to create Darth Vader, Imperial Commander, and stormtrooper phrases. The AT-AT even has two rappling lines : attach a figure to the rope, and press the button to winch it into the AT-AT, where you can either load or unload troops, or recreate Luke Skywalker destroying a walker during the Battle of Hoth! Please note: This vehicle requires assembly. Only one action figure is included in the box. Star Wars Imperial AT-AT is an incredible Star Wars vehicle, that will appeal to both collectors and toy fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars Massive!! 3 Nov 2010

This is a great version of the Imperial AT-AT walker, I was a bit worried about the size of it as My son is only 3, however he loves it and its actually lighter than you'd expect, he can move it around with the handle and pretend its walking using the Button for walking sounds on the top. It never took him long to work it all out as it's fairly simple.

Some of the stickers were a little tricky to get on, and definitely require an adult, also to out it together initially, though this takes 5 minutes and it's sturdy.

Some small issues with it, despite its size, there is not a lot of room inside, for example a Darth Vader figure with its extra height cannot stand in either front cockpit or the top level of the central opening. Also the speeder on the rear is a kind of pointless idea and would have been better served as a location for troops, to make back section larger, when it's in, no troops can fit in easily to rear section.

As a whole it is a good toy though, but I would not pay any more than £100 for this toy, and it is massive so be prepared to have space for this to sit when built up.

I had one of the original at-at's as a boy and had to get this for my youngest for his 4th birthday as he is nuts about star wars. It's superb, he plays with it for hours. It's well made, got loads of features and the sounds add to his ( and my) enjoyment! Costs alot but it's well worth it!!

I purchased this for Christmas for my son, it is very well detailed and the sound is accurate if a bit annoying after what seems like a 1000 hours constant use. The shop who sent it out wrapped it really well and it has been a complete success. It is quite amusing watching visitors revert to their childhood when they see it.
