I bought this for my son at Easter and I now have a job to stop him playing this. Even I find it quite addictive. Definately worth the money.

Very linear and undemanding single player game but very worthwhile playing for the force power/combat implementation using the touch screen. It is not a traditional FPS type game but once you get over that you can enjoy it. Multiplay is a hoot given the touch screen control and options for fighting.
Different and worthwhile, it is afetr all a DS game!

PS unlike the amazing experts who do things in a couple of hours I enjoyed the single player over a more relaxed and longer period, life is what you make it, and so this game.

A very average game, very short completed it in just over 2 hours, graphics are alittle messy on the ds,and the camera angles are terrible at times, story is quite good, does make a good connected between the 2 trilogys.the use of the touch screen is well implemented, but still dosnt make up for the short comings.

My son (aged 10) saves his pocket money for a long time to buy himself DS games. He finished this game the day after buying it. What a waste of money. One very disappointed ten year old.

I completed this game with the dark and light side endings in just under three hours. I think they abandoned the next-gen graphics element of this on the ds, and the same thing goes for the way that on the psp,ps2,xbox360 etc. versions of the game, every character reacts in a differant way when you grip, electrocute, push them or use any other force powers. It's quite enjoyable to play but, as I said at the beggining,it's way too easy.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Nintendo DS)

Both boys aged 12 and 10 felt this was a good game. They think the graphics on other platforms would be better but this didn't stop their enjoyment.

If you like things frantic and over in minutes, then this is the game for you. I really enjoyed the game for the first few levels but it was too easy and I finished it in under three days, with no interest to revist the game and do it all again.(in reference to previous a review, I am by no means a hardend gamer, aiming to finishing asap, I just wanted to enjoy a new game) Liked the combo's and story but overall the game was too short. If you like bashing away with a light saber, go for it, it will keep you off the streets, but otherwise leave well alone.

Although other reviews mentioned shocking graphics, I was not disappointed with the game.

This product is well worth it, if you are a fan of Star Wars and have seen the movies. Clearly the person who said their ten year old finished it in a day should have told the kid to get outside and play, as the warnings clearly state that you shouldn't play for longer than a couple of hours, wouldn't be surprised if she claimed he had ADHD.... the excuse for bad parenting these days....it used to be dyslexia...and Chronic fatigue before that....

Absentee parent rant over, you have to remember that for a small hand held console the graphics are actually quite good, and obviously they aren't gonna be high def or anything, but it works (remember you are watching a LEGO STAR WARS GAME! not the REAL FILM!) It is possible younger players couldn't grasp the concept of purchasing better characters within the game adn using the coin system to the ultimate advantage, as you can play as many different characters from Qui-gon, Obi-wan to Anakin and Padme, and even R2! Each character has different abilities and benefits/advantages disadvantages. ie Qui gon and Obi wan have the force, but are also better at jumping, but Padme can use her gun to climb onto different levels, anakin is small enough to go through the tunnels....only problem I have is accidently adn repeatedly beheading Obi wan as he follows and 'helps' Qui gon fight!

The music is the same as in the films, so are the 'missions' and characters, so you can follow it easily, but it isn't boring. If you want something that lasts months, buy pokemon or some other inane rubbish where you spend your entire life on the ds, if you haev a life and enjoy a respite from detailed gaming, buy this! OR if you want a real challenge, try the CSI one, it's awesome....

:) plus it's cheaper and better than cartoony clown...oh sorry, 'clone' wars....
