The complete third season of the CGI-animated series. Set in a galaxy far, far away after the events of 'Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones' and before 'Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith', the series follows the adventures of Obi-Wan Kenobi (voice of James Arnold Taylor), his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker (Matt Lanter) and rebellious female Jedi fighter Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein). Episodes are: 'Clone Cadets', 'ARC Troopers', 'Supply Lines', 'Sphere of Influence', 'Corruption', 'The Academy', 'Assassin', 'Evil Plans', 'Hunt for Ziro', 'Heroes On Both Sides', 'Pursuit of Peace', 'Nightsisters', 'Monsters', 'Witches of the Mist', 'Overlords', 'Altar of Mortis', 'Ghosts of Mortis', 'The Citadel', 'Counter Attack', 'Citadel Rescue', 'Padawan Lost' and 'Wookiee Hunt'.

Some interesting ideas in this series, exploring the force, Ventress revenge with the Nightsisters/Savage Opress and some great action sequences, especially the battle for Kamino and Wookie hunt, which sees the return of Chewbacca but too many dull Coruscant episodes in my opinion and all placed in the first half of the season for some reason. I think IGN summed the season up perfectly, A lot of boring, followed by a lot of awesome!

A lot of reviews say this is a mixed season, one of two halves and not as good as season 2. While I agree with some aspects of these reviews, I can't help but in some ways disagree. Season 1 was a decent start and what mainly kept me watching into season 2 was how good hostage crisis was. Season 2 definitely delivered, it had brilliant action and good stories, however I can't help but think that it was still an out and out action adventure which had still to come into its own. This season is where it solidifies itself as a TV programme that can really up the anti. Although there are a fair few political episodes the only episode, it does show the show is not all about one thing, and does expand and make clear the strong political storyline that runs through the films. An episode like Heroes on Both Sides perfectly illustrates this, and definitely excuses the others, as it does a great job of showing us another side of the separatists and the corruption that is really taking place in the universe. This season is also where I really started to believe in Ashoka as a character, she had her moments before, but here you could now see that in season 1 and 2, the creators were setting her up as a girl who goes through growing up and learns lessons. Her parts in the Mandalore episodes, Assassin, Heroes on Both Sides, Ghosts of Mortis and the season finale, really show how she has adapted her best qualities and how she isn't just a 2 dimensional character, but a character that has grown and learnt a lot, with a lot on her shoulders this season makes it even more interesting to see the fate of her.Read more ›
