The Star Wars 2006 Annual is notable for being the first book to tell the complete Star Wars saga within its covers.
It starts off with Episode I, and tells the story of II, III, IV, V and finally Episode VI, and so fully charts the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker.Interspersed with the stories are quizzes, factfiles and tests.
There are also a lot of pictures, fully illustrating each entry in the star wars saga, and are gorgeous to look at. If anything, this annual is easy to admire.
However, the actual writing could have been a little more grown up. Sure, it's catered for children. 5 years+ will have no problem reading this book, but the writing is quite uninspired. The most detail goes to Episode III, with it's more in-depth writing, and actual quotes! But the other episodes are nothing more than quick synopses, really, and just describe what happened in the films.
So for children, this is excellent, for a casual star wars fan it's unessential, but I'm sure many collectors of star wars would find this item attractive - especially with its 3-D holographic cover!
