i had hoped that this would be a real blast from the past moment when the parcel arrived.my son is a starwars nuts and im a big retro 80's fan being "that age" lol

but sadly, it has pretty much lost its charm in this edition. its a very flimsy plasticboard, with a cheapy cardboard insert at the top for your characters.it feels light and breakable to me. if they had made this in the original board it would have rocked!!

for anyone who DOES remember it the first time round, you might come away feeling undercut for your buck

I know nothing about Star Wars, but have been informed by the recipient of this gift that it is Super. Mind you that is the opinion of a very lively seven year old, who is very into Star Wars.

Very cheaply made & not worth the money it demands simply because it is Star Wars.
My son (Star Wars fanatic) at first thought it was great, but soon got very frustrated with it. You have to choose your own character at the top, the flaps go sideways & you end up knocking others down, & not all the pictures are clear. All in all very disappointing. Belongs in the 99p bargain box.

we bought this for my 5 year old who loves the original guess who and is also big on all things star wars- should be a big hit we thought.the thing is its not the same format as the original guess who with the stickers on the individual doors.it basically has one cardboard sheet which you slot in to the back of moulded plastic and the doors open to reveal who's under.you cannot always see all of the picture underneath which makes it difficult.you have to snap bits off to put it together which is not explained very weel and i couldnt get to grips with the instructions and eventually just worked it out.
so all in all its ok!!! but they have economised too much for our liking- seems bit cheap.saying that my son is quite happy playing with it still.

The frame design of this version is terrible, starting with the need to break bits of plastic off the back, before inserting the card!

Why!!! What craziness/ manufacturers laziness is this? Couldn't they make the frame without those little plastic bits?

Having inserted the card, the frame then sits flat on the table and the card promptly dropped down at the top end, necessitating a fix so the card would stay in place.

Since the frame sits flat on the table the character chosen can be seen by the opponent, so now it needed to be propped up.

The doors open sideways and are all too easily knocked down during play, so the game is a frequent washout, resulting in great disappointment for the players.

The characters at the top are far too small for the younger players to distinguish the features easily and as all the characters are there together rather than one on a separate card there is frequent confusion as to which one was chosen.

The original version of this game by MB Games is far better in all respects - stronger frame, separate cards for the chosen character, doors opening upwards and much clearer pictures.

I plan to photocopy these pictures and insert them into my old Guess Who frames so the game can be played properly.

The old version was a lot cheaper too. Hasbro would have got a zero from me for quality if Amazon had given us the option to do so. Likewise zero for ruining the fun of the game and diminishing the educational value.

I use the game for vocabulary development for my ESL students and the old version is a big hit. This one so far has been an exercise in frustration.

Brilliant game, kept us laughing at Christmas, particularly because some of the pictures are hard to see and it caused some entertaining mistakes! Fun for people that don't know Star Wars as well, I would say it is better than the new version of the original which we brought for our niece.

Bought for six year old who loves it. But the quality of the plastic boards is not as good or strong as I remember from the Guess Who we had in the 80s! Overall I gave it a high rating because the whole family loves the game.
